Hybrid Mode
Combine local speed with cloud power — VisionDraft routes each task to the best execution environment.
How it works
Hybrid mode is the recommended default for VisionDraft Desktop. The job router analyzes each task and decides whether to run locally or in the cloud based on hardware, file size, and task type.
Routing rules
- Local: Quick analysis, transcription, small renders, file imports
- Cloud: Heavy renders, 4K exports, AI generation, large batch jobs
- Fallback: If local fails, cloud takes over automatically
Configuration
In VisionDraft Desktop, select Hybrid (recommended) under Execution Mode. The routing matrix updates in real time based on detected hardware.
Cloud sync
Enable cloud sync to keep projects consistent between desktop and web dashboard. Local changes sync on save; cloud renders appear in your Exports.
Best practices
- Keep hybrid enabled unless you have strict offline or privacy requirements
- Use desktop-only for air-gapped environments
- Use cloud-only on low-spec machines without local FFmpeg
