Troubleshooting
Common issues and solutions for VisionDraft cloud, desktop, and MCP.
MCP not connecting
- Verify server URL matches exactly — no trailing slash
- Check subscription is active at Settings → Billing
- For API key auth, regenerate key and update client config
- For OAuth, clear client cache and re-authorize
- Desktop: ensure app is running and MCP badge shows "online"
Upload failures
- Check file size against plan storage limits
- Large files (>100MB) use chunked upload automatically
- Supported formats: MP4, MOV, WebM, MP3, WAV, PNG, JPG
Render stuck or failed
- Check Exports for error details
- Verify render minutes remaining in dashboard
- Cloud: workers may be restarting — retry in 2 minutes
- Desktop: check logs via Settings → View logs
OAuth errors
- Ensure pop-ups are not blocked for visiondraft.space
- Desktop: verify visiondraft:// protocol handler is registered
- Try API key auth as fallback
Desktop auto-update
- Check internet connection
- Manual check: header → Check updates
- Corporate firewalls may block GitHub Releases or downloads.visiondraft.space
