Troubleshooting

Common issues and solutions for VisionDraft cloud, desktop, and MCP.

MCP not connecting

  • Verify server URL matches exactly — no trailing slash
  • Check subscription is active at Settings → Billing
  • For API key auth, regenerate key and update client config
  • For OAuth, clear client cache and re-authorize
  • Desktop: ensure app is running and MCP badge shows "online"

Upload failures

  • Check file size against plan storage limits
  • Large files (>100MB) use chunked upload automatically
  • Supported formats: MP4, MOV, WebM, MP3, WAV, PNG, JPG

Render stuck or failed

  • Check Exports for error details
  • Verify render minutes remaining in dashboard
  • Cloud: workers may be restarting — retry in 2 minutes
  • Desktop: check logs via Settings → View logs

OAuth errors

  • Ensure pop-ups are not blocked for visiondraft.space
  • Desktop: verify visiondraft:// protocol handler is registered
  • Try API key auth as fallback

Desktop auto-update

  • Check internet connection
  • Manual check: header → Check updates
  • Corporate firewalls may block GitHub Releases or downloads.visiondraft.space
